Virtual Programs

Engineering Education & International Exchange for High School and University Students Around the World

Virtual programs enable EWH to reach more students than ever before with high-quality engineering education opportunities. EWH now offers multiple virtual exchange opportunities for high school and university students to collaborate on international teams to innovate solutions to real global health challenges.

Some of these programs have been developed by EWH, while others have been developed as partnerships between EWH and universities around the world to foster international exchange even when travel is not possible. Most virtual programs focus on engineering design in low-resource settings. Students work together on international teams, guided by experienced facilitators with field experience.

“We were thrilled to be part of this virtual exchange program, as it aligns perfectly with our mission to cultivate engineering leaders who can address real-world problems in diverse and resource-constrained environments." - Julie McShane, Director of Career Development at the Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership, UC Berkeley
