February News
Hello Friends,
First, thank you again for all of your support over the holiday season. Your generosity allows us to continue building a strong, global network of biomedical engineers and technicians focused on improving healthcare systems in the developing world.
Now, here's a look at what EWH is up to.
We Moved! Our new office is located at 151 E. Rosemary St, Suite 201, Chapel Hill, NC 27514. You can call us at 984-234-3686. As always, feel free to email us at [email protected].

January Institute 2017 This January, EWH hosted students and SI Alumni in three countries. Four Alumni joined us in Nepal, 17 students came from RIT and GMU to work in Guatemala, and 23 students from UNSW and the University of Sydney worked in Cambodia. The January Institutes offer participants an alternative opportunity to work in developing country hospitals while gaining the same hands-on experience as our Summer Institute students. Students receive training at their home universities before they spend 3-6 weeks working in teams in developing country hospitals. You can read more about this year's Cambodia program here or find out about students' past experiences with the Summer & January Institutes here. |
Biomedical Instrumentation Kits
EWH offers two biomedical instrumentation Kits designed to provide hands-on training, understanding of important biomedical engineering concepts, and practical electronic fabrication skills needed by both engineers and technicians.
We currently have available an Optical Heart Rate Monitor Kit, pictured here, and an ECG Simulator Kit.
If you're interested in circuits, soldering, and instrumentation, EWH's Biomedical Instrumentation Kits are an excellent teaching tool! Find out more.
