Heart Rate Monitor Kit
Optical Heart Rate Monitors (OHRM) are used to measure the heart rate through the subject’s fingertip and can be found in devices such as pulse oximeters. Once the circuit is assembled, EWH's OHRM Kit shows the cardiac frequency through a blinking light. The product teaches students principles of electronics and biomedical engineering through hands-on learning and is ideal for middle/high school and college students, or for students training for careers in electronics, BMET, and healthcare occupations. The Kit includes a bare board and electronics components, which can be reused for multiple assemblies.
This Kit is also available in a Plug and Play version! This Kit features a PCB board with pre-soldered sockets, so all you have to do is plug in the components. It has all the features of our regular OHRM Kit with the soldering requirement eliminated. This Kit is perfect for home use, virtual learning, or for younger engineers who might not be ready for soldering. Assembly instructions and activities can be found at the links below.
Engineering World Health’s Optical Heart Rate Monitor Kit is an educational tool only and should not to be used for any other purpose, including any medical, diagnostic or other laboratory applications.
