Projects That Matter is a way for talented engineers from anywhere in the world to help the people of the developing world.

Engineering World Health posts a list of design challenges in August of each year. We welcome submissions of solutions to these problems each April. If the solution proves to be effective in field trials, typically conducted the following summer, then we will post the solution on our pages. In some cases, EWH will kit the solution for chapter manufacture or help to create a new non-profit to manufacture and distribute the solution!

These are projects that truly matter. Successful designs can impact millions of people around the world.

Enrich your BMES, IEEE Chapter - or even your high school science club - and help the developing world at the same time! Your club could be designing or building equipment that directly helps the people of the developing world.
