Experienced Professionals

Professional engineers have the potential to greatly enhance the impact of EWH programs by supporting our activities with students in the US and other developed countries or by visiting our projects in developing countries. For field work, EWH will favor the involvement of professionals with foreign language skills and experience of working in developing country situations, so they can function well without being a burden on the host hospital.

Adoption of hospitals by industry partners

Engineers from industry have potential to provide highly focused contributions, such as repair or maintenance of imaging and other sophisticated equipment manufactured by the company concerned. EWH welcomes the donation to EWH-Summer Institute hospitals of ‘engineering hours’ from companies that have social responsibility initiatives or that support staff to use limited amounts of company time and resources to pursue mission-driven projects like ours.

We also invite companies to ‘adopt’ a hospital or a community (e.g. a group of clinics and their referral hospital). This is an increased level of commitment that could include the donation of old models of equipment, a spare parts program and multiple visits by company engineers to provide training, management advice, etc.

If you are a group in industry interested to adopt an EWH hospital or community, please call us or email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
