2010 EWH Summer Institute meetings

At the conclusion of the 2010 EWH-Duke Summer Institutes, the students will come together one last time to present their successes and share their experiences before departing to their home countries.  These meetings are attended by the students, Summer Institute instructors, EWH executive director Melissa Beard, and EWH board members.  The meeting at the end of the 2010 Summer Institute in Africa will be July 30-31 at Usa River, Tanzania.  On August 14-15, the meeting will be held in Managua, Nicaragua for the conclusion of the Summer Institute in Central America.

2010 BMES Annual Fall Meeting

EWH will be attending the 2010 BMES conference from October 6-9 in Austin, Texas.  We will have a booth in the exhibit hall and presentations at the two new BMES sessions: “Student Projects in Global Health” and “Instructional Strategies in Global Health”.  Please see our announcement for more details.  This conference will be an excellent chance to meet with EWH, and we encourage students, volunteers, and any other interested parties to submit abstracts to present at these two new sessions.
